Himalayan cedarwood is a tall tree that grows in the Himalayan region and the oil extracted from this tree is called the Himalayan cedarwood oil. The botanical name is Cedrus deodara. One gets this oil from the wood of this tree by the process called steam distillation. The height of the tree from which this oil is extracted grows up to 50 meters. The tree from which this oil is extracted grows on the Himalayan slopes of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The color of this oil is brownish or yellowish and it is in the form of viscous liquid. The strength of aroma of this oil is strong. This oil has a dry woody aroma of the Himalayan woods and has got the smoky effect.
