The camphor oil is one of the important essential oils and one can get this oil by extracting the camphor after cutting the trees. One can get the crystalline extract from the leaves and woods. This is done by the process called steam distillation. We obtain common camphor from the camphor tree and the scientific name of the tree is Laurus camphora. There is camphor that is extracted from Borneo camphor tree but there is only a slight difference between the two as far as the aroma is concerned. The height of camphor tree can go to 35 feet.
